After some frustration with heating controls and other technologies, the house is just about there. We still have some snagging issues and some building items to complete but we can live with it.
So we have a flaky gas smart meter that may not be fully recording everything and the electricity meter has the odd funny day, but the PV system seems to be giving good data and we can remotely control the heating.
The house was occupied for 13 days, including the Christmas week with six adults and three children staying and another two adults and three children visiting each day. Lots of cooking, laundry, lights and TV. We have decided to leave the heating and MVHR running as though we are there even when we are not. This will help to give a more realistic usage figure plus keep the house pleasantly warm in case of short notice visits.
Electricity supplied by Octopus was 353 kWh, of which we estimate 150 kWh was for the two cars, leaving 203 kWh for the house. We generated 181 kWh from the PV. Some of that will have been used directly but without the export meter giving us the data, we cannot say exactly how much we are exporting. Hopefully we will get that sorted in the next month or so.
Gas was 878 kWh for heating and hot water.
